Carbon Fiber Mold

The mold’s positive and negative halves were made on our CNC machining center to accurately create a cavity with a .240 inch thick cross section. The molds yield an 1/8 of a circle and when all 8 molded pieces are bonded together it forms roughly a 3.5 foot diameter circle of carbon fiber that is less than a quarter of an inch thick.
